100NO 495: Longevity lessons from the Queen

Episode Summary

In 1926, when Queen Elizabeth was born, life expectancy was 70.6 for a baby girl and the chance of living to 100 was only 3.4 per cent. What happened in reality is that Queen Elizabeth outlived her life expectancy by a GENERATION! Think about that for a moment.

In looking at the three major ingredients for longevity that we speak about on 100 Not Out, the Queen had quality longevity in space. She lived with a very strong purpose, was a regular walker and naturally had a strong social life.

On this episode we pay our respects to the Queen.
